LuAnne Nooe | Second Grade

Mrs. Lu Anne Nooe loves teaching at Central Christian Academy.  Her dream of teaching began as a first grader and she has forever been delighted to see her dream come true.  She went to the University of Oklahoma, earning her degree in Elementary Education.  God brought Lu Anne to Central Christian Academy in 2000 and she has felt very blessed to teach first graders, seeing their delight in discovery and learning, and sharing the love of God, instructing and leading them as they grow to be more like Jesus.

Lu Anne taught elementary school for over 25 years in Oklahoma, Kansas, California, Texas, and then returned to Kansas, with a variety of teaching experiences in public school teaching middle school, second grade, and fifth grade, the later in an inner city open-concept school.  Lu Anne taught and substituted in several private schools: K-4 and second grade. She was then blessed to teach first grade at Central Christian Academy.  Lu Anne has also worked as a teaching assistant in a life skills classroom, working with special needs children during a brief time in Iowa.  With a variety of experiences, Lu Anne has realized that few schools are known to be a family as Central Christian Academy, where there is a partnership between school and family.

Lu Anne and her husband Bob, a school counselor at Greiffenstein Alternative Elementary School at USD 259,  share a love of working with children.  She has assisted her husband, who is an ordained children’s minister, for over 25 years.  Her experience in ministry included being a Bible Quizzing teacher, a Sunday School teacher, a Children’s Church teacher, a VBS teacher, and she directed the preschool department on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening at a church in Seattle, Washington. Currently, Lu Anne assists her husband who directs Journey, a special needs ministry at Central Christian Church, where she teaches the Bible lesson each week to children with special needs.

Lu Anne and Bob are proud of their two grown children, both who graduated from CCA. Austin serves as a Video Editor at D.C. Metro Church in Washington D.C, and Katie Keeney and her husband, Rob, who live near Springfield, MO.   Katie will graduate with a degree in PR from College of the Ozarks.  Both Katie and Rob has a desire to serve Jesus.  Lu Anne and Bob are excited to watch the journey their children are just beginning!  Serving God is an adventure in itself!

Jeremiah 29:11 Is a life verse for the Nooe family.  “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord.  Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.  Plans to give you a hope and a future.”  God has guided the Nooe family on an amazing journey, through trials and tribulations, through joy and sadness, through good and bad health, yet, He has always provided richly for their every need. Lu Anne is so thankful for a kind heavenly Father who brought her to minister at Central Christian Academy and is excited to share Jeremiah 29:11 with her first graders every day, for God has a special plan for each of her students!
