Michael Hunter | Head of Schools

Michael Hunter is in his eleventh year on staff at CCA.  He has twenty years of experience in the field of education.  Eight of those years were spent as a classroom teacher, and twelve years in Christian school administration.  Mr. Hunter has a B.A. in Educational Studies from Tabor College and a Masters in Administrational School Leadership from Baker University.

Personal Philosophy of Education:  Education is a constantly changing process.  In my years as an educator, I have seen academic trends come and go.  We find ourselves struggling, yearning to reach each student, wanting to make our curriculum beneficial for each child and wanting each child’s voice to be heard.  To accomplish these goals, we need a strong concept of our personal philosophy of education.  My personal philosophy places the “Master Teacher”, Christ as the focal point.

Jesus stated, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6) Christ is the measure of truth and the creator of all knowledge.

Christ is the perfect role model and example for all.  It is important to me to be a Christian educator.  Jesus has given me the opportunity to touch the lives of students.  I could never become a complete educator without Christ as the center of my life and the center of my educational philosophy.  I believe that inclusion of Biblical values and teachings in the classroom is beneficial and essential to the individual growth of children.
