Academic Competition Coordinator: Betty Powell, 6th Grade Teacher
Beginning in the second grade, CCA students have an opportunity to explore the gifts God has given them and compete in a range of academic and fine arts competitions. The school competes in competitions sponsored by Association of Christian Schools International, National Geographic Society, and International Academic Competitions. Below is a list of competitions and grade levels that compete:
ACSI Sponsored Competitions:
- Spelling Bee Grades 3-8
- Creative Writing Grades 4-8 and HS
- Math Olympics Grades 3-8
- Speech Meet Grades 3-8
- Scholars Bowl Grades 9-12
National Geographic Geography:
National History Bee Grades 5-8
Academic Bee Grades 5-8
Geography Olympiad Grades 5-8
Robotics-Wichita Mindstorms Challenge Grades 5-8

Each year, families are invited to celebrate students’ achievements at the Academic Awards Night.
