What is Roaring Rewards?
Volunteer coordinators at CCA have Great Lakes SCRIP, a national rebate center, and Dillon's Neighborhood Rewards to create one funding program. Roaring Rewards is a method of purchasing local and national gift cards and certificates from CCA and using them, as cash, at your favorite grocery stores, retailers, restaurants and service providers to purchase everyday budgeted items. With each gift card purchased, CCA families earn revenue for the Academy that is directly linked to keeping tuition increases to a minimum each year. Cards and certificates are loaded at full face value and rebates are issued instantly, to CCA, at their time of purchase.
How does it work?
1. Select gift cards that your family can use, from over 300 retailers in a variety of denominations.
2. Order your cards by Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. for pickup later the same week.
- Online, go to shopwithscrip.com and create a Family Account. To join our Non-Profit, use Enrollment Code 5AA7375824174. By setting up Presto Pay you may order 24/7 and pay by 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, all from your own computer. You may also reload some cards online.
- Pay ahead by filling out an order form available at CCA. Turn in checks with your order form to the CCA drop box anytime the building is open. A receipt is required for cash purchases and is gladly accepted in the CCA office during normal business hours.
3. Pick up and enjoy your gift cards knowing that your purchase is generating revenue for CCA that can make a significant difference. The rebates average about 5%, but are typically much higher at restaurants and during holiday promotional times.
Where does the money go?
Rebates are collected in a Roaring Rewards Fund at CCA. Ten percent of those funds are allocated to CCA's Tuition Assistance Fund. Each year, the Tuition Assistance Fund helps fulfill the School Committee's desire to never have to turn away a qualifying family that, in faith, chooses Christian education for thier children despite a financial hardship. The 90% remaining will directly benefit CCA families as designated by the School Committee. Specific procedures for the entire program will be published and distributed for each academic year.
How can you help?
Order Roaring Rewards cards.
By doing a bit of pre-planning, most families are able to make this a comfortable habit. The more purchases we channel through Roaring Rewards, the more money that comes back to the school. Organizations our size are able to raise $80,000-$100,000 per year with consistent, wide-spread participation.
Volunteer to help sell or distribute cards.
Opportunites are always available and the Program Coordinators welcome your questions and feedback at ccalionspride@aol.com .
Pray for the success of the program.
Roaring Rewards can be a significant blessing for CCA families and many details have to come together to help fulfill its potential.
