Personal Philosophy of Education:  “I believe that every person is a unique creation and that God has given each of us many ways to participate musically whether it be singing, playing instruments, dancing, listening, or composing.  My goal is for students to learn the building blocks of music, how to expressively perform it, and to discover how to glorify and worship God through it.  Academically, every student can benefit from learning music, not only for music’s sake, but also for the cross-curricular benefits and academic connections that can be made through music. However, it is not simply about learning concepts, but about fostering a lifelong appreciation of the arts.  Spiritually, I believe music is a unique gift of worship, both for the individual believer and corporately for Christ’s Bride, to express the heart in adoration and thanksgiving, to intimately draw near to God, and to testify to the works of the Lord.  I have found the performing arts to be one of the most powerful evangelism tools for sharing God’s holy Word and the Gospel of Christ in love and truth.”
