Our goal is to help students reach their full potential in Christ, as they tap into their God-giving abilities. God has created each child with talents to share. CCA’s Learner Services Program works to meet students’ individual needs.
The Explore Program supports students with learning differences in reading, writing, spelling, language, and math. Our team of Academic Language and Math specialists works closely with students, parents, and teachers to provide individualized support through small group instruction, classroom accommodations called Learning Accommodation Plans (LAPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
Because learning differences impact more than academics, we strive to support the whole student and partner with families throughout the journey. When concerns arise, students may be referred for a math or language arts screening, followed by a collaborative review of the results with parents and teachers.
“The difference in our daughter since joining the CCA Explore Program has been remarkable. She went from struggling with confidence and avoiding school to becoming an engaged student who loves learning and reading. The Explore team identified her strengths, provided personalized support, and encouraged her every step of the way. Today, she confidently participates in class and even reads for fun at home. Their individualized approach, creativity, and genuine care have had a life-changing impact on our daughter.” (Explore Parent, May 2021)
The Excel Program is designed for high-achieving students who consistently demonstrate strong academic performance and a readiness for additional challenge. These students will meet during our WIN (What I Need) block. This program provides students with opportunities to deepen their learning through rigorous, engaging experiences in both mathematics and language arts. This rotation is different than participating in the traditional Language Arts-only WIN rotation; students in the Excel Program will engage in project-based and problem-based learning that emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and real-world application. Students will tackle complex problems, conduct research, design solutions, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways that extend beyond the core curriculum.
In addition to academic growth, the program intentionally develops Christ-centered character and essential life skills. Students will learn to:
Because we believe that all wisdom begins with God, every aspect of the Excel Program is grounded in a biblical worldview. Students will be encouraged to pursue excellence as an act of worship, steward their God-given abilities faithfully, and use their gifts to serve others. Scripture, prayer, and biblical principles will be woven throughout the learning experience as students are challenged to grow both academically and spiritually.
Explore and Excel are fee-based programs. Qualifying families can receive tuition assistance towards Explore fees.
