Lori Walters | Sixth Grade

Our sixth grade Language Arts and Reading teacher is Lori Walters. Lori graduated from College of the Ozarks, near Branson, Missouri, with a B.S. in Elementary Education. She has also received training from the Fundamental Learning Center and is an Academic Language Therapist. Lori taught 5th and 6th grade in the Wichita public school system for 5 years. She taught 2nd grade for 3 years at CCA, as well as 6 years in the Explore Program. This is her seventh year teaching 6th grade at CCA. Her husband, Craig, works for Spirit Aerosystems. Lori’s daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Tyler O’Donnell, are presently serving as AWANA missionaries for the state of Kansas. Lori’s son Quentin is 23, and a student at K-State. Lori enjoys spending time with her family, (especially her new granddaughter, Lucy) and reading. Craig and Lori attend Central Christian Church.

Philosophy of education: “My desire is that students will learn to use words, both written and verbal to increase their ability to express themselves in a manner that is pleasing to our Lord, and to recognize God as the author of our faith.” Lori’s life verses are Philipians 4:6-8.
